Conversations With My iPhone

Me: O.K., O.K., I’m plugging you into the car charger—happy?

iPhone: It’s going to take you seventeen minutes to get to Target.

Me: Why do you always assume I’m going to Target? Maybe I’m going to brunch at that new place. Or the opera.

iPhone: Sure, with all the operas you go to on Tuesday mornings. Or ever.

Me: But I could go… More at The New Yorker.

Isn’t it time we moved on from thinking about tech as some kind of strange thing that is taking over our lives?

We need to just accept progress for what it is and use it to benefit us. Not everything new has a negative undertone to it.
