Publishers in major Spanish cities, like Madrid and Barcelona, have teamed up with Amazon so that a physical newspaper can be ordered through the expedited delivery service.
El Pais, Spain’s major newspaper with bureaus also in Latin America, will be brought to your door within the two-hour delivery window. Or you can pay more to get it within an hour… More at Mashable.
It is yet another step for Amazon, but I am seeing changes to the way internet retailers work. Same day delivery is becoming common and I note that many mattress manufacturers are offering 100 day trials of their products. Companies that sell blinds let you send them the exact measurements so you can be sure to get the right solution and there are many others offering innovative features that take away the worry over ordering online.
On the flip side, too many bricks and mortar retailers still offer slow delivery, poor customer experience and over-inflated prices. They need to catch up.
