Is It Worth $10 Per Month For The Data?


I’m not a mobile network specialist, but I do think that it could have been technically possible for these carriers to simply allow consumers to have a choice. Either the Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE “borrows” from your phone’s existing data plan, or you can supplement your data plan with additional data to support your watch’s information needs. Rather than go this route by allowing the price hit to be less for users, the mobile network carriers saw the Apple Watch Series 3 as a new revenue source, and proceeded to put a toll in place for users… More at A Blog to Watch.

A good question. Is this a case of the networks sticking to a ‘one device equals one contract’ model or them just being greedy? Yes, they are the same thing.
