It’s every new dad’s worst fear

We couldn’t face going back to the newly-decorated nursery with no baby in our arms, so we went to live with my parents for a few weeks. Our parents went to our house and completely emptied his room.

During that time, Hannah received bunches of flowers and cards with messages of support. While the odd person would drop off a bottle of beer for me, most of the time the focus was on her loss. Hannah and I were both struggling with our grief, but it was like my emotions were being overlooked… More here.

Good to understand the view from a father. This is something many people do not see as a huge loss either because they perceive a lack of bonding, but it surely is devastating.
