What your $4.99 doesn’t get you is a product worth shouting about. Apple Arcade is fine if you like to burn through simple, mobile games. But if you were hoping for something more — something that would push mobile gaming forward — you’re out of luck… More here.
I kind of agree with this and I think the problem can be viewed in different ways. Mobile gaming is good for when you have a few spare minutes, but you will never get a console experience from a touch screen because of how the controls work. With that comes a perception of lack of quality. Also, it is easy to perceive the selection to be limited which goes against the view of other services; with Apple Music you feel like you have anything song or album you want, with Netflix and Prime video you have more than enough to keep you entertained and both feel like very good value to the point of essential. Few people will likely feel the same about mobile gaming.
